Registration- Ice Cream Social and more
Are your swimmers getting excited? We are! We can't wait to see all our awesome swimmers. Let's keep hoping the weather gets warmer and stays that way. We have just a few updates to share.
Registration
Registration is open. You can register Here if you haven't done so already. Each swimmer will be given one team t-shirt as part of their registration if registered before May 20th.
Swimtopia App
Please download the Swimtopia app if you haven't done so yet. This will be our primary means of communication, how you will declare for meets, sign up for jobs and Rsvp to events.
Ice Cream Social
Next Friday May 22rd at 6pm in the FCE parking lot. We will provide the ice-cream but please bring your favorite toppings to share. We will introduce the coaching staff to you. The Coaches will meet with the swimmers and practice a few cheers and all parents will meet with Team Reps for a brief meeting. It is really important that each family have a parent representative at the meeting. This will help you understand the expectations for the season.
Please Rsvp on the Swimtopia app so we can plan accordingly.
We will also have a table set up with T-Shirts, Car Magnets, Yard Signs, Croc Charms, and Team Caps for sale. Prices range from $5-$15. Cash/Check preferred.
Five Guys Fundraiser
Mini Flippers begin on Monday June 22nd at 10:30-11am.
Reminder: All swimmers are expected to attend the age group according to his/her age as of June 1. We know we have some summer birthdays but we go by the NVSL age date of June 1.
What to expect
All practices on the first day will begin on a grassy hill facing the pool. The coaching team will begin with introductions, sportsmanship conduct, possible game and then will move to the deck. For our younger swimmers - the water may be cold so if you come earlier to practice and your swimmer wants to "play' in the water before practice - it will be cold sitting on the grass hill and they may be less enthusiastic to swim when it's their practice. Wet suits and Shortie wet suits are also permitted during these cold evening practices.
We will be on deck every afternoon for the first couple weeks. We will be taking attendance and helping/speaking with parents.
The Coaches will be focused on the swimmers - getting to know them, assessing and working with them. Just a reminder that if you have any questions about your swimmer - please speak to us and we will talk with the coaches. We want to support them in their role as coaches and we will handle all the questions.
Officials
If you are interested in becoming an official please email us and we can discuss the process. Training Clinics are scheduled in May and June and there is no cost to attend. As our swimmers age out we lose those parent/officials. Without our officials we can not run our meets.
